With multiple tattoo removal lasers, we can more efficiently reduce and remove tattoos of every color. We are the only facility in Colorado with a Q-Switched Alexandrite 755nm laser that is used exclusively for blues and greens. It is superior because it fires at 10 repetitions per second while most other blue/green lasers fire at only 1 per second. What does this mean to you… less time in the treatment room!
How does Laser Tattoo Removal work?
The energy from the laser passes harmlessly through the skin and is absorbed by the color of ink in the tattoo. This energy heats up the ink particles and breaks them into tiny pieces which are then absorbed by the body or exfoliated like a splinter.
Who performs Laser Tattoo Removal?
The instructors of Rocky Mountain Laser College will be the technicians performing your consultation, as well as your treatment. Our staff of highly trained and knowledgeable Certified Laser Specialists® has trained many of the nation’s tattoo removal practitioners. Our instructors have performed thousands of laser tattoo removal procedures using state of the art FDA-approved lasers and not IPL’s.
Am I a good candidate for Laser Tattoo Removal?
Laser tattoo removal can be performed on all skin types and any area of the body, except the eyelids. During your free consultation, our staff will evaluate your tattoo and thoroughly answer any questions or concerns you might have.
Will Laser Tattoo Removal be expensive?
Pricing is determined mainly by the tattoo’s size, see our price chart below. You will need multiple sessions to totally remove your tattoo.
Can I be a model for your students?
If your treatment is of educational value for our students, then absolutely yes. We have classes the third week of every month and we need models for our students to practice on. Prices are 1/2 our regularly low prices, but there are restrictions on days, times and procedures. Please call us or fill out the form on the right for a free consultation to get you started in our model program.
Is Laser Tattoo Removal safe?
Yes. Rocky Mountain Laser College uses only Q-Switched lasers from the top manufacturers in the industry. All our instructors have received certification for laser safety and have performed thousands of laser tattoo removal treatments.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of treatments depends upon how old the tattoo is, its age and colors used, your overall health, the location on your body, who put the tattoo on and if it is a cover up. Some old or homemade tattoos can come off in just a few treatments while tribals, cover ups or very dark tattoos may take ten or more. Laser tattoo removal can be a painful procedure, but our instructors are making advances in techniques to provide treatments that most clientele find tolerable. The average tattoo removal treatment takes between 1-5 minutes for average size tattoos, and the pain experienced deceases immediately once the treatment is completed. For after care guidelines, please reference our laser tattoo removal after care instructions.

What can I expect after a laser tattoo removal session?
The tattoo removal laser treatment may create a superficial burn wound. Some clients may also experience bruising or swelling. There is immediate whitening of the treated area, which usually lasts for several minutes. Many clients then develop blisters, crusts, or scabs within 12-72 hours, which may last for 1-2 weeks or more. The treated areas may then become pink or pale after the scab separates. Scarring of the treated area, which can be hypertrophic or even keloid, may occur. The loss of skin pigment in the treated area is common, and is usually temporary. Healing is usually complete by 4-6 weeks.
How can I make the healing process go more smoothly?
Compliance with recommended pre and post-procedure guidelines are crucial for healing, prevention of scarring, and other side effects and complications.
